Description
Spathiphyllum Golden (Peace Lily) is a very popular indoor plant which produces creamy, white flowers that look like the hood of a cobra. This clump-growing herbaceous perennial has glossy, golden oval-shaped leaves that narrow to a point and rise directly from the soil. The long-lasting flowers of this sturdy plant start out pale green and eventually turn creamy white as they open. Use room temperature water for peace Lily plant and allow it to sit overnight so the chlorine can evaporate. Also, let the soil dry between watering because peace Lily prefers to keep the soil moist but not soggy. It needs refreshed soil so repot the plant annually in the spring for optimal growth. Peace Lily grows well in the potting mix as soil, vermicompost and cocopeat in equal ratio.
