Description
A Laboratory Hot Air Oven is a laboratory instrument or also known as hot air circulating oven. Some equipment that cannot be wet or material that will not melt, catch fire or change from when exposed to high temperatures are sterilized by using the dry heat sterilization method. Make sure the surgical dressings, rubber items or plastic materials cannot be sterilized by employing hot air. A hot air oven provides extremely high temperatures for several hours to eliminate microorganisms and bacterial spores.
Materials that contain oil, metal equipment like scissors scalpels and blades, powder, like zinc oxide, starch and sulfadiazine and glassware like flasks, Petri dishes, pipettes and test tubes can be sterilized by using a hot air oven.
