Adenium obesum is also known as desert rose and is often used as a bonsai plant due to its thick succulent trunk, thin and delicate leaves and luscious, deep pink trumpeting flowers. This is a slow-growing plant, native to Africa.
In cooler zones, it is grown indoors and used as an ornamental outdoor plant in many tropical and warmer climates. The best time for planting is in the spring season. Don’t expose it to frost and freezing temperature otherwise, it will die. The sap of the desert rose plant is toxic to humans and pets.
